Document Assistant

The answer is in your documents. This finds it.

Years of contracts, reports and policies, and the one line you need is buried in a file nobody remembers. Ask in plain words. It reads every file at once and answers with the exact page. When the answer isn't there, it says so. And nothing leaves your systems.

Simple to use. Built to be trusted.

Anyone on your team can use it from day one. And every answer is one you can stand behind.

Ask like you'd ask a person.

No special syntax, no keywords. Your team asks in plain words and gets a clear answer. There is nothing to learn.

It won't make things up.

If the answer isn't in your documents, it says so. You never get a confident answer that turns out wrong, the kind that does real damage.

It connects the dots.

It doesn't just search one file at a time. It pulls together what's spread across many documents, so you get the whole answer, not a snippet.

Ready the same day.

Point it at your files and it reads everything fast, thousands of pages in minutes. PDFs, Word, Excel, email, even scans. Your whole archive answers questions the same day.

Add or remove files anytime.

Drop in new documents and it picks them up on its own. Take one out and it's gone from the answers. Nothing to rebuild by hand.

Fits the software you already use.

It plugs into the tools your team already uses, so answers turn up where they work. No new app, no copy-pasting between systems.

A real answer, with the source attached.

It reads your files and pulls out the entities and connections inside them. Every answer shows the page it came from, and you can turn what it finds into a finished document.

In our own hand-checked test it scored 95% accuracy across 632 real questions from seven fields.

Read the full test: the method, the results and the misses

Up and running in days, not months.

No big project, no moving your files around. It works with what you already have.

Step 01

We connect to your files.

Wherever they live: folders, shared drives or your document system. You do not move or reorganise a thing.

Step 02

We set it up on your systems.

On your own hardware or a private Swiss cloud. We handle the install, so your IT team has nothing to figure out.

Step 03

Your team starts asking.

Right inside the tools they already use. Add or remove files whenever you like, and it keeps itself up to date.

Everything you're probably wondering.

What is Document Assistant?
It answers questions about your own documents. You ask in plain words, the way you would ask a colleague, and it replies with the answer and the exact page it came from. It looks across all your files at once, so nobody has to dig through folders again.
How do we get started?
Start with a free 30-day trial on your own documents. There is no commitment, and nothing for you to install to begin. If it earns its place, you keep it. If not, you walk away, no strings.
Is our data safe?
Completely. Everything runs on your own systems, or in a private Swiss data centre only you can use. Your files never leave your company, and they are never used to train anyone else's AI. You stay in full control. Our security page has the detail.
How accurate is it, really?
In our testing it answered about 95% of 632 real questions correctly, spanning finance, law, medicine, engineering and more. Every answer was checked by hand, not marked by the tool itself. And when it is not sure, it says so rather than guess, so you never get a confident answer that is quietly wrong.
What files can it read?
Almost anything: PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, even scanned paper. Mixed formats and messy folders are no problem. Add new files anytime and it updates itself.
Will it work with the software we already use?
Yes. It connects to the tools your team works in every day, so answers turn up where you already are. No new app to learn, no jumping between systems.
What does it cost?
From CHF 300 a month for a small team on your own hardware, or CHF 500 a month fully hosted in Switzerland. Bigger rollouts are priced to fit. And the 30-day trial costs nothing.
Can it run on our own hardware?
Yes, and we make it effortless. We choose, supply and set up the hardware for you, so your IT team has nothing to do. A typical small setup is an ASUS Ascent GX10, a compact AI machine that sits quietly in your office, for around CHF 3,000.

Datavera Document Assistant: ask your documents and get cited answers.

Document Assistant is the document question-answering product from Datavera, a Swiss software studio in Zug. You connect your contracts, reports, policies, board minutes and other files, ask a question in plain words, and get an answer with the exact document and page it came from. It works across many documents at once and connects what is spread between them, so you get the whole answer rather than a single snippet. When the answer is not in your documents it says so instead of guessing, so it does not produce confident wrong answers. In our own testing it answered about 95% of 632 real questions correctly across finance, law, medicine, engineering, science, government and humanities, with every answer checked by hand. It reads PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and scanned documents, building the knowledge base in minutes, and you can add or remove files at any time. It connects to the software your team already uses, so answers appear in the tools they work in every day. Everything runs on the customer's own hardware or in a Swiss single-tenant data centre, so confidential documents never leave the company and never train a public AI model. Document Assistant is part of Datavera Document Suite and starts at CHF 300 per month on your own hardware or CHF 500 per month fully hosted in Switzerland, both for one to five users, with a free 30-day trial on your real documents. On-premise hardware is specified, supplied and installed by Datavera; a typical small setup is an ASUS Ascent GX10 for around CHF 3,000. Datavera is a Swiss legal entity outside the US CLOUD Act, built for FADP, GDPR and the EU AI Act. ISO 27001 and SOC 2 are in progress and not yet held.
